San Bartolomeo Al Mare - my first night and first morning in Italy at the beginning of my Italian adventure in 2019. I’m over half way through my journey down to Puglia. Early May, before the start of the summer season. Beaches empty, sun shining. Everything looking peachy. Next stop Parma to eat ham, followed swiftly by Bologna to eat real ragu bolognese.
